Different Roles of a fashion stylist

Fashion stylist’s have numerous responsibilities within there job title. Fashion is an exciting journey to share and develop opportunities and your love of fashion with a verity of interesting people   people. You get to share your passion and ideas with people who need your guidance or people who want to see what you’re capable of. There is many different areas of the fashion industry that fashion stylist can use there talent for example they can work with TV shows and movies, advertisement, music videos, public relation experts, and designers.

Fashion stylist have a big role in dressing people for big events or even on a daily occasion etc, there role is to choose the right outfits to flatter that person in every way and also meeting the brief of the occasion whether it be really dressy of casual. Being a fashion stylist I believe you have to know about the fashion industry and that varies knowing a lot about  fashion history also helps when bringing vintage looks back into season, the latest trends is important to know as your responsibility is keeping your clients up to date and flattering. 

You also need to have the knowledge and eye for matching your clients with clothing that represents the image they want to represent. I believe the way you carry yourself can say allot about yourself clothing can also give you confidence and that’s what i would be thriving to give my clients every time I would dress them. I believe everyone should have the right to look and feel exceptional no matter there situation.

The typical responsibilities for a fashion stylist can be from...
·         Picking clothing and accessories for editorial features and advertisements, concerts, music videos, films and TV shows,
·         Working with designers, tailors, models, photographers, hair and makeup artists, retailers, members of the media, publicists, celebrities and public figures creating an image for celebrities.
·         Researching fabrics, clothing construction and fashion accessories. Keeping up with different designer labels and fashion designers.
·         Attending fashion shows Predicting and spotting fashion trends locating clothing from all over the world.
·         Building professional networks Lifting heavy garment bags.
